Ruling the world cricket like a boss , just Babar Azam's things.
Pakistani skipper Babar Azam has scored 834 runs this year for his team and is the leading scorer this year in the T20Is. However, Babar has hit many runs (303) in this year's T20 World Cup and guided his team to the semi finals. Babar has hit 2534 runs with an average of 46.07 in his T20I career so far. Babar has a 24th century and one century in his name. However, he has just played 65 innings in the T20Is and has won numerous records and will surely add more to his name soon.
During his 2-3 years playing for Pakistan, Babar Azam proved himself to be one of the most important members of the team and was given the team command in short formats.
Babar Azam was soon considered a long format for the game. His unbeaten 90 game against New Zealand at Hamilton was proof of his level although he will still create the same kind of impact he has on short transitions. Babar has managed to prove himself as a batsman in all formats and his success in T20 cricket will also be evident. A well-known form of shots, Babar quickly made a name for himself by playing eye-catching strokes. He also broke Virat Kohli’s record of the 1000 T20I fastest running and in 2018 demoted Aaron Finch from the bench to become the top scorer in the ICC’s T20I Rankings.
Last looked down from the top in January 2018, Azam played a key role in winning Pakistan’s T20 World Cup, making 198 runs in four innings, making a total of 66 hitting 124.52.
Sitting in second place in last week’s rankings, Babar rose by 14 points (reaching 834), surpassing David Malan, who dropped from 831 to 798.
Pakistan made a good start to the tournament, winning their first four games in style with the leading Babar.
Good luck king Babar Azam.
