The West Indies men's cricket team arrived in Karachi to play three T20Is and three ODIs from December 13-22 at the National Stadium.
According to reports, Maroon men arrived in Karachi via Dubai. Strong security arrangements are being made. Upon arrival at the local hotel, players and officials will be accommodated for one day.
The team will be part of a planned training camp tomorrow at the National Stadium. The series between Pakistan and the West Indies will begin on December 13.
Nicholas Pooran will lead the West Indies team in the T20I series and Shai Hope is responsible for capturing the ODI series.
All matches will be played in Karachi, with the ODIs being part of the World Super League round leading to the 2023 World Cup.
The West Indies last visited Pakistan in 2018 with three T20I matches in Karachi, although at the time, a few top players came out of the trip. A full-fledged party is expected, and PCB chairman Ramiz Raja hopes the crowds will be able to attend.
The West Indies have always been one of the favorite teams of Pakistani cricket fans. I hope the NCOC (National Command and Operation Center) will support this series by allowing more crowds ... "said PCB chairman Ramiz Raja.
